Prema records album in NYC with Peter Erskine, Luis Perdomo & Damian Erskine

Prema has just arrived in New York and is making preparations to head to The Cutting Room Studios where she will work with the studio engineer to prepare all the tracks for the ‘live’ recording on the 16th. The recording sessions will feature legendary Weather Report drummer Peter Erskine, ubertalent Luis Perdomo who works with Miguel Zenon and Ravi Coltrane and dynamite bassist and also nephew of Peter, Damian Erskine who has worked with Teri-Lynn Carrington, Gino Vannelli, Les McCann, Jeff Lorber and many more.

The drums, bass and Fender Rhodes will be recorded ‘live’, alongside Wah Wah Watson’s pre-recorded parts. Prema will also be singing and playing guitar with the band and will overdub her vocals and guitars later.

Prema meets the wonderful team at the Cutting Room NYC and is wowed by them. Studio manager Patrick Ermlich helps Prema with getting everything lined up and ready for the ‘live’ sessions tomorrow.
